Are you an aspiring artist ready to take your creativity to the next level? The Orange County School of the Arts (OCSA) Visual Arts Conservatory invites students in grades 7–12 to participate in its Digital Submission Placement Activity. This process allows applicants to demonstrate their artistic abilities by completing and submitting original works in response to four unique prompts.
Key Requirements for Submission
To ensure a fair and thorough evaluation, applicants must follow these guidelines:
Number of Submissions: Provide four (4) original artworks addressing the specific prompts.
File Formats: Acceptable formats include PDF, PNG, or JPEG.
Video Requirement: Submit a YouTube video link for Prompt #4. Ensure the video is set to "Unlisted" for privacy.
Original Work Only: All art must be created by the applicant without outside assistance. Use of AI or plagiarism will disqualify submissions.
Suggested Time Commitment
Grades 9–12: Spend approximately 3–4 hours on each artwork.
Grades 7–8: Allocate about 2 hours per artwork.
Note: Only the four required artworks will be reviewed. Submissions that do not follow the prompts will negatively affect the applicant’s rubric score.
